Tape Bonding
Tape only can be a great alternative if you don’t want to wear it all the time and gives you freedom to come in whenever your schedule allows. Tape bonding is good for daily wear as It allows you to remove it at night to sleep more peacefully. It can also add life to your system, and it may last 2-3 times longer than if bonded with adhesives. Our tapes can hold from 1 day to up to 7 days. Your stylist can discuss your options depending on the type of system you choose.
Although you can reuse tape, some of our clients like to get a supply of tape and change it out often. This ensures that your hair system stays in place securely and you avoid skin irritation.
Clip Attachments
Another alternative to perimeter bonding, and great for daily wear, is clips. This is a popular solution for individuals who prefer not to shave the entire scalp and don't want to deal with sticky adhesives. To apply the clips directly to the scalp you just pop them open and snap them shut. They are very thin so you can barely feel them. Clip attachments may be ideal for someone wanting to minimize the amount of bonding adhesive due to irritation or the need for frequent removal of their hair system.
Some of our clients wear their hair daily, putting it on in the morning and taking it off in the evening, and some wear their hair when they feel like it, like for special occasions or only during the work week. If you are wearing a hair system that has thin skin or delicate lace, you will need the appropriate tape. You will also need to be trained on how you remove your system.
